Australian Burlesque Festival New Follies 2018

New Follies Burlesque is the ‘Emerging Burlesque Performers Contest’ event of ‘The Australian Burlesque Festival’. A showcase of emerging artists, the contest will feature burlesque performers from every genre that have less than two years burlesque experience and will be judged by a panel of industry professionals. The winner will be invited to perform at one of the festival shows alongside the illustrious headliners, among other fabulous prizes for them and the runners up! New Follies Burlesque is designed to encourage and promote our emerging artists and give our audiences a glimpse into the future of the next generation of burlesque performers.

Celebrating nine successful years. The biggest celebration of burlesque in the Southern Hemisphere. If you are going to one burlesque event this year make it this one!!

Miss Vintage Kiss – Judge

You are cordially invited to Miss Vintage Kiss, Vivien Victory’s fundraising event for her Liptember campaign this year. Dress in your favourite 20s, 30s or 40s outfit and be dapper, delicious and dandy as we sit down for a very cute, colourful and coy high tea ♥

This event includes a quaint pinup parade of 7 chosen finalists for Miss Vintage Kiss: Audrey Azure, Atlas Grey, Mickey Starling, Miss Scarlet Shontelle, Jolene La Rouge, Madame La Vie & Miss Curly Sue.

Curves & Claws – Burlesque for Breast Cancer

Burlesque.
Feathers, sparkling costumes, glamorous smiles, a cheeky wink and the surprise reveal of tasseled breasts.

Breast cancer is a horrible yet common disease, affecting men and women (and gender non binary pals) alike. 1 in 8 women or female bodied people will experience breast cancer by the age of 85 and 148 men or male bodied people will also be affected every year. Everybody knows somebody who has been affected by the devastating affects of breast cancer – and we want to help!

Curves & Claws in conjunction with Chardons Corner Hotel bring you- Burlesque for Breast Cancer!
This wonderful fundraising show is putting on a night of fabulous festivity celebrating all things pink to raise money to donate to breast cancer research at the PA hospital. We want to support our local hospital and there tireless efforts to help those struggling with breast cancer. We celebrate the breasts – but more importantly we celebrate the people! The incredible guys gals and NB pals who fight against the horrible pain of breast cancer, we celebrate you the best way we know how with sparkles and feathers and burlesque galore!

Come and see some of Brisbane’s beautiful burlesque babes alongside a dash of circus and a hint of drag all wrapped up in high glamour pink to raise funds for Breast Cancer research! With raffles and prizes and eye watering pink everywhere it’s fabulous to the extreme!

The Bombshells Ball – June 2018

Miss Burlesque Australia Queensland State Final 2018

The feathers are set to fly in Australia’s largest burlesque competition – with performers from all around the country competing for the title of Miss Burlesque Australia 2018!

On Saturday 2nd June, the Queensland State Finalists will throw their sparkles into the ring and battle it out for the crown and title – Miss Burlesque QLD 2018. The winner will go onto represent the state at the Grand Finals in July.

Expect drama, sensuality, wit and talent! These dazzling performers have got it all – and the bar has never been set higher.

The Bombshells Ball – February 2018

Join us for an evening of titillation, tassels and tease starring Brisbane’s best bump and grind babes and nifty novices!

The graduation performance for term 1 students of The Bombshell Burlesque Academy, The Bombshells Ball features both professional performers and debuts by emerging Burlesque babes! Come and cheer on your favourite Bombshells in a show with more glamour, glitter and garters than you can poke a feather at!

Feel free to bring in refreshments to enjoy during the show – a flask of tea, coffee or even homemade lemonade! – but please leave the bubbles at home as alcohol purchased elsewhere may not be brought into the venue.

Want to be a VIP? VIP will get you a hand painted, limited edition, wine glass by local Brisbane artist Rainbow Rabbit (with bubbly in it of course!) a table seat at the front of the stage with some nibbles.
